    A strong alumni association makes a stronger university and increases the value of a UH degree. President Khator reminds us often how important alumni involvement is for the university to reach its goals. In fact, several national ranking organizations factor in the involvement of a university’s alumni in their formulas for how they ultimately rank institutions. Membership in the UH Alumni Association helps UH rise in national rankings.

The alumni association has partnered with businesses such as Choice Energy Services to provide affordable energy to members. UHAA members can also save on car and truck rentals with AVIS/Budget, shipping with UPS, insurance with Liberty Mutual and the Alumni Insurance Program along with many others.

    Every UH graduate wants to succeed in his or her career field after graduating. Membership in the alumni association provides alumni with career-related assistance through our partnership with the university’s Career Center and by providing alumni free access to over 3.500 computer based training courses through our Skillport eLearning system.

    Events and programs are developed and offered each year for alumni to come back to campus and surrounding areas to reconnect with alumni and friends.     To help top-quality students attend UH, the association’s Scholarship Program provides $180,000 in scholarships each year to deserving incoming and current students.  Our 35 constituent groups raise money each year to support these initiatives to help UH grow to Tier One status.  Your membership helps drive these events and allows this to happen!
