Originally from Jamaica, Judith came to Houston to attend the University of Houston and never left. After graduating in 1992 with a BS in Finance, she returned to complete her MBA in Accounting in 1998. In her first year with UHAA, Judith comes from banking, having spent 10 years at JPMorgan in Treasury and Securities Services. When not working or spending time with daughters Heather and Lily, Judith speaks publicly on behalf of HomeAid Houston, a non-profit organization that builds and remodels shelters for the homeless in the Houston area.

Ali Walker ('09)

Ali is in her third year at UHAA. In 2009 she graduated from The University of Houston with a BS in Consumer Science and Merchandising. After graduation she interned with a growing non-profit organization, Comp-U-Dopt, providing computers to underserved children. Originally from The Woodlands, Ali now lives in Houston.



Angela Grisel

Angie is a native Houstonian and in her first year at UHAA. Although she graduated from the University of Texas ('02), both of her parents are UH Cougars! Angie has a BS degree in Applied Learning and Development. Prior to coming aboard with the UHAA team she was an enthusiastic teacher (11 years) who has been, and continues to be, devoted to making a difference in the lives of whomever she comes in contact with while always wearing a smile.

Lauren Ellis Stacks

Lauren is in her third year with UHAA and is working to enhance and expand the membership program and all it has to offer. She is a 2005 graduate of Texas Tech University where she earned a BA in communications. She returned to Houston after graduation and worked in sports marketing with the Houston Rockets and Toyota Center. Prior to joining UHAA she handled the marketing and promotions for Live Nation Entertainment and worked with some of the biggest names in music as they made their way to Houston. Originally from the suburbs of Katy, Lauren and her husband Kyle now live in Houston.

Karen has been with UHAA since 1994. She graduated from UH in 1995. She resides in the northern suburbs of Houston (aka South Dallas) with her husband and daughter.



Ke'Aundra Phipps ('10)

Ke'Aundra is in her first professional year at UHAA but has been around as a student intern since 2009. She graduated from the University of Houston with a BS in Health and a minor in Nutrition in 2010. She is from Arlington but now considers Houston home. She is an avid sports fan but since stepping on campus she has become a devoted Cougar football fan. She has a son, Jordan, who is her pride and joy.

Jeff is in his third year with UHAA. Prior to joining the staff he served as Director of Athletic Media Relations at Houston Baptist University. Sutton graduated from Southwestern University and currently resides in Houston with his dog Layla.


Brice Wiley

Brice is in his third year with UHAA and his fifth overall at the University of Houston. He previously worked as the Assistant Director of Marketing for the Athletic Department at UH, handling marketing and graphic design responsibilities. Prior to coming to Houston, he worked for D.C. United of Major League Soccer and for his alma mater - Ohio University. Brice graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University in 2008 where he was a member of the crew team.


Tom Franklin

Tom is in his third year at UHAA. Prior to joining our staff, he was a familiar voice to Houston sports radio listeners in his roles as play-by-play voice for the Houston Oilers, Rice Owls, and Houston Hotshots, as well as the pre- and post-game show host for the Houston Astros broadcasts. In addition to his UHAA duties, Tom is now in his seventh year as the play-by-play voice of the Cougars football and men's basketball teams. A UH Radio/TV/Film major, Franklin is married to the former Suzanne Sparks, whom he met when they were both students at UH. They have one son, Kyle; a daughter-in-law, Kelly; and one grandson, Morgan. Both families now live in Pearland.

Bob is in his second year at UHAA. Prior to joining our staff, he completed a successful career of over 35 years in executive management in the financial services industry. He is the father of four sons and resides in Missouri City with his wife of over 37 years, Pauline. He's a proud grandfather of six grandchildren, including two-year-old twin boys.
