Greeting Cougars!

It’s graduation season! It’s a time for all of us to reminisce about our time at the University of Houston, and all the great memories that we have shared. You may have a high schooler graduating in the next month, or you may have a family member graduating from college. Congratulations to you and your family on those achievements.

Here at UHAA, I want to congratulate and welcome the 5000+ new members to UHAA!  We are excited to have you join our family. I look forward to you engaging with the over 305,000 alumni already having passed through our campus.

As you can see from this month’s calendar, there are many things going on, which you can participate. Our Constituent groups are finishing up a very strong year of alumni engagement, and I want to thank them for all their hard work. They have maintained a high level of enthusiasm through the last couple of years that has been impressive, putting on events, raising money for scholarships, and overall, simply making us proud.

As the summer draws near, we’re already thinking about the fall, so take a moment to join CoogsConnect, download our alumni app, go to our website, and find an event that fits into your schedule. You can also drop us a note and let us know when you’re on campus, and we will greet you here in the Alumni Center and talk about all the great things that are happening at our alma mater.

Remember, once a Cougar, always a Cougar! Thank you for being the enthusiastic alumni base that we are so proud of, and I look forward to seeing all of you face-to-face in the very near future.

Go Coogs!

True we’ll ever be,

Mike Pede (’89)
