PARTY ON THE PLAZA
Before every Cougar Football home game, UH Alumni transforms the plaza outside the Athletics/Alumni Center into the ultimate gathering place for alumni, friends and Cougar fans. Party on the Plaza features tents hosted by UH Alumni Association Foundation alumni groups and affinity networks, along with food and beverages, live entertainment, special guests, autograph opportunities, giveaways and plenty of Cougar spirit, all just steps from TDECU Stadium.
WHO CAN ATTEND
Everyone is welcome at Party on the Plaza! Admission to the grounds is free and open to all Cougar alumni, friends and fans.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Throughout Party on the Plaza, all guests can enjoy free entertainment, giveaways, music and special guests. Registration is required for those who would like to access a specific tailgate group tent, where each offers its own food, beverages and exclusive experiences.

2026 Houston Football Single game parking is available in the Elgin Street/Purple Garage for all home games. Sales are available until 5pm the night before the game or until spaces are sold out. Get Tickets >

Will there be special football rates for life members?
- No. Athletics sets the pricing for football games.

What is the bag policy?
The following bags are allowed:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
- One-gallon clear plastic resealable freezer bags
- A small clutch purse, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without a handle or strap. These small clutches are subject to a search.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the gate by TDECU Stadium personnel.
Whats the difference between Party on the plaza and Life Member Experience?
Party on the Plaza is the official UH Alumni pregame celebration held outdoors in front of the Athletics–Alumni Center before every home football game. Explore UH Alumni Association Foundation groups and affinity network tents, enjoy game day activities and connect with fellow Coogs before kickoff.
The Life Member Experience is an exclusive indoor pregame gathering for UH Life Members and their registered guests, held inside the Athletics–Alumni Center in O’Quinn Great Hall. Guests enjoy complimentary food, non-alcoholic beverages, a cash bar and a comfortable place to relax before the game.

Does registration for a UH Alumni Association Foundation group tent include the Life Member Experience?
No. Registration provides access to that specific Party on the Plaza group’s tent and activities only. The Life Member Experience is a separate event that requires its own registration and is available exclusively to eligible UH Life Members and their registered guests.
